Lip filler FAQs
These FAQs are specific to lip filler treatments. For general dermal filler FAQs click here.

Lip filler treatments use dermal fillers which is a soft, gel-like substance that, when injected under the lips, can achieve a range of aesthetic outcomes, including; achieving a fuller pout, shaping the lips, correcting asymmetries, softening lines and wrinkles around the lips, and defining the lip line. The outcome depends on the density of the dermal filler products being used and the injecting technique.
Lip/dermal filler treatments can carry potential risks and adverse reactions, and results and longevity of treatments may vary between patients.
-
You’ll be able to see the effects of your lip filler treatment immediately, however, it’s important to note that your lips will likely be swollen following the treatment. The degree of swelling and how long it lasts can vary person to person. It can also take some time for the lip filler to fully integrate into the tissue. Expect up to 2 weeks to see the full effect of your lip filler treatment.

This can vary depending on the individual. The Registered Nurses at Derm Haus Brisbane take measures to minimise the pain of lip filler treatments as much as possible. Prior to the treatment, your Nurse will offer you numbing cream to help minimise discomfort. Following the procedure, your Nurse will also offer you an ice pack to help relieve any pain.

Lip filler pricing starts from $390 (see full price list above).

It’s up to you. If you book a Lip Filler appointment we will have enough time to conduct an focused consultation and for the treatment to be performed.
However, if you would like to have an full-face assessment and discuss a range of treatment options with our Registered Nurses, we recommend booking a Medical Aesthetics Consultation first. This Consultation is an hour long and includes enough time to perform a lip filler treatment.
