Elevate your skin with scientifically proven peels
At Derm Haus Brisbane we believe in treatments backed by research and clinical results. Chemical peels remain one of the most effective ways to resurface the skin, stimulate collagen and address concerns such as pigmentation, acne and ageing. Our new peel portfolio features the iS Clinical range, advanced formulations that deliver visible results with minimal downtime.
Why clinical-grade peels?
Our clinical peels combine multiple acids, botanical extracts and advanced delivery systems, allowing us to customise the depth and intensity to your individual needs for a more refined result. These peels trigger controlled exfoliation, stimulate healthy cell turnover and encourage collagen production without the harshness associated with outdated formulas. The result is smoother texture, more even tone and a long‑lasting glow.
What concerns can clinical peels address?
Our peels are tailored to tackle a wide range of skin concerns. Clients often notice improvements in:
Correcting pigmentation and uneven tone
Addressing acne breakouts and reducing excess oil
Diminishing the appearance of scars
Softening fine lines and wrinkles
Refining overall skin texture for a smoother feel
Minimising enlarged pores
Balancing skin tone and reducing redness
Hydrating dull, dry skin for lasting suppleness
Revealing a brighter, more luminous complexion.
Please note: In accordance with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) advertising regulations, we are not permitted to share testimonials that reference the clinical aspects of care. This includes any mention of symptoms, diagnoses, treatment outcomes, or the skill or effectiveness of a regulated health practitioner.

Chemical peel FAQS
-
Chemical peels exfoliate the top layers of skin to bring forward healthier, fresher, and more youthful skin cells, creating a glowing, radiant, smooth and brighter complexion.
Through the use of chemical exfoliating agents mainly AHA or BHA, these treatments enhance the skin's natural regeneration process in a regulated manner.
By accelerating cellular turnover and delving deep into the pores, these agents effectively clear out accumulated skin cells, debris, oil, and bacteria, refining the skin's overall texture. Furthermore, chemical peels are adept at addressing a myriad of skin issues, from signs of ageing, fine lines, and wrinkles to acne, loss of elasticity, scarring, congestion, and pigmentation.
-
Clients typically describe the sensation of a chemical peel as warm, prickly or tingly. The feelings and sensations arise as the active ingredients penetrate the skin and work their magic. Most find the experience comfortable and manageable as it only lasts a few minutes, subsiding once the peel is removed.
-
Absolutely! Enhancing your peel with complementary treatments can take your results to new heights. LED Light Therapy is a popular add-on to help or boost cell regeneration
Chemical peels can also amplify the results of various medical aesthetic treatments.
For a tailored approach to combining Chemical Peels with other Derm Haus Brisbane treatments, we invite you to book a Skin Consultation with our expert Dermal Therapists.

Chemical peels are versatile and can be used to treat the face, neck, back, and décolletage in both men and women.
-
This will vary depending on the chemical peel treatment. Generally, the treatment will start with a thorough cleansing of your skin. Following that, the selected peel solution is carefully brushed onto the skin.
The peel solution will stay on the skin between 3-10 minutes (depending on the specific peel). During this time, you may experience some mild discomfort, warmth, itchiness, or tingling.
The peel is then removed and and then cooling and calming aftercare serums and moisturisers are applied to your hydrated and replenished skin.
-
To achieve optimal results, we generally suggest a course of 4 peels. However, this can vary based on individual skin conditions and the results you are aiming for.
Your Dermal Therapist may also recommend integrating chemical peels with other skin treatments or alternating them throughout your treatment journey.
-
After a series of treatments, the results can last for 6 to 12 months. To maintain these results, we recommend sessions every 4 to 6 months.
It is important to note that the duration and quality of chemical peel results are greatly enhanced by consistently using quality home skincare products and following the treatment plan set by your Dermal Therapist.
-
Chemical peels are extremely versatile and can be tailored to address specific skin concerns and conditions, making them a suitable treatment for many.
These treatments effectively combat various conditions, including ageing, wrinkles, acne, dullness, pigmentation, and uneven tone/texture.
However, certain skin or health conditions may deem a chemical peel unsuitable for some individuals. It is essential to consult with your Dermal Therapist to ensure the treatment is safe for you and a suitable option for treating your specific skin and concerns.
-
Preparing your skin before a chemical peel is essential for optimal outcomes, to prevent pigment production, and to minimise sensitivity risks.
Before undergoing a chemical peel, we advise the following:
Incorporate medical-grade skincare into your routine for 3 to 4 weeks
Refrain from using skincare products with active ingredients, such as retinol (vitamin A) and AHA/BHA, for 3 days
Avoid sun exposure, exfoliation, and waxing for a minimum of 7 days.
-
Immediate aftermath: After your treatment, your skin may exhibit a mild pink hue and feel a bit warm or tingly. These sensations will diminish shortly post-treatment.
Days 2 to 5: As your skin undergoes cellular renewal, expect some surface dryness and minor flaking. This is due to the accelerated shedding of cells and clearing of blockages from the deeper skin layers. Depending on the specific treatment objectives, these cells or blockages may become more evident on the skin's surface.
Managing dryness: The dryness is temporary, usually lasting only a few days. To combat this,
Increase your water intake for enhanced internal hydration.
Use nourishing, medical-grade skincare to boost topical hydration.
Post-treatment care: To enjoy the best results and to avoid any adverse reactions, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions following your chemical peel treatment. Your Dermal Therapist will discuss post-treatment care with you during your appointment and provide you with a pamphlet to take home.
